The Encounter

By Topher Kaler

If you do not desist, we will have no choice but to initiate our doomsday protocol...

Deep below the waters that have covered most of Earth since the cataclysmic events of that day, a deadly threat hides, watching and waiting for the right moment to strike. Meanwhile, the Humans on the surface have struggled to rebuild their lives, unaware of the peril on the seabed with the potential to make the cataclysm of a generation ago pale into insignificance.

Having restored calm and stability across parts of the galaxy, six young Humans, along with their new friends, the intelligent and diplomatic Anuka, and the self-effacing but resourceful Udarns, resolve to get to the bottom of the mystery they have uncovered on their travels. Who has been subverting other species, leading to the cataclysms that have brought disaster and tragedy to so many populations? Who has taken stealthy residence on the very planets they have sought to destroy? And why?

Brokering peace wherever they can, averting disaster where they can't, the friends travel to some of the most mysterious reaches of space. And all the while, hiding in the shadows, is a faceless, nameless menace of which no one will speak-a menace that thrives on grief and destruction.

How can anyone track down an enemy that is no more than a phantom?

In The Encounter, the third in the thrilling Sabotage series, a shrouded danger with no identity awaits. Are you willing to join the fight against evil?
