Will Simona make a career in the city's nightclubs? (Vol. 1) tells the story of a perfectly ordinary wife and mother who, after being laid off from her job, is forced to enter a world of debauchery and there, against all odds, finds a reason to feel excitement, joy, and a sense of living again.

Racconti sconvenienti di donne trascurate, on the other hand, is an anthology of short stories following the lives of several women who, for a variety of reasons, are forced to reevaluate their relationships with others; as if in a revelation, the book's protagonists will face a change that, though imposed by those around them, will alter their perspective on existing interpersonal relationships.

Irene, the unpublished story, tells of a woman involved in politics but who, unlike the other heroines in this omnibus, is the architect of her own misfortunes; in fact, she is driven by ambition, and it is precisely her ambition that sets a trap for her that is as risky as it is seemingly insurmountable.

It will be her longtime rival-the very person vying with her for the mayoral seat of a small town-who saves her.
