Every woman I know who has read this book loves it.

I purchased this book after it was recommended by a client. I have since recommended it to my book club and numerous other women who have read and enjoyed it and purchased copies for their friends. To me this book highlights how women can be acquainted for long periods of time but not really know one another until they begin to reveal their untold stories. As relationships are forged among the characters, we become closer to their hearts and notice the treads of their stories that mirror our own. I found the dialogue and descriptions in this book fun. It's an easy read and one that I continue to recommend.

one of my all time favorites

This is a wonderful homage to women's friendship..touching and inspiring. Maybe you need to be "of a cetain age" to appreciate it - what else could explain all the negative comments??? Try it.

A Book Only a Few May Appreciate

I purchased this book to read on a recent trip to Europe. AFTER I purchased the book, I came here to read the reviews and was concerned that perhaps I had made a bad selection based on the poor reviews some people had written. After reading the book, I must say that my soul was touched. This is a book about being a woman, being a friend and being less than perfect. One must be very open-minded to embrace these women and to fully understand the story being told. I for one, will pass this book on to the women in my life that I love, those that have suffered (and there are many women there) and those who are fulfilled and healed. Many of my female friends would HATE this book, because they are unable to acknowledge and appreciate what many women have experienced. But, most of the women that I know will be touched by the book as I was. This book doesn't try to be anything other than it is - Women coming to terms and accepting change in their lives.

Moved Beyond Words (almost)

This book makes me want to drink exotic teas and walk long distances, all in the company of a group of female friends. If not that, at least get around to picking up my bedroom so I can feel content in it! I just finished The Elegant Gathering of White Snows, crying and laughing throughout. It is the story of eight wildly different women who are able to come together and gain strength individually through their friendship. Few books are powerful enough to make me cry, yet this one does - not in a sad, depressing way, but because of how the human spirit allows us to move beyond our tragedies. I am recommending it to all the women I know, and even though I am part of a book club, I hope all the members will read it now, rather than waiting for this moving emperience!

Entertaining and Inspiring

I was tremendously inspired by a novel titled "The Elegant Gathering Of White Snows" by Kris Radish. I have never felt so connected to the characters in a book as I did these women, ordinary women, each life so different yet connected through the common bond of estrogen. Although this story is that, a story, it proved to be more helpful in all aspects of my life then the volumes of self help books and articles that line my shelves, while at the same time kept me entertained with every paragraph and page.The women in this book each have tremendous strength and a great sense of adventure that had been squelched by their life's journey. It was refreshing and uplifting to see them come back to themselves and make a statement to the world in such a quiet and unique way. Ms. Radish has a delightful mind and talent. I eagerly look forward to her next work.
