Book contents super excellent but received poor copy

Jung's "day job" was certainly developing scientific psychology in the early 20th Century. But he had a mystical, spiritual side to him as well, which at first he divulged as a kind of side-line or hobby. Until Freud heard about it and blasted his former peer for it. Nevertheless, as time went on, Jung was drawn more and more into listening to the whispers of his own "shadow" i.e. connection with a kind of planetary unconscious but cognisant ephemeral entity, the earth. Meredith Sabini does a good job of garnering all the nuggets from Jung's many works into this book that is appropriately titled. Worth reading to understand how a great intellect perceived the Great Mother of humanity in psycho-spiritual terms.
