Magical, charming, heartwarming

On the cover of this book, it says "The threads of love are woven with great care..." And author Gail Crease has woven the threads of this story with the same care, compassion and expertise, not to mention a dollop of magic. This is a love story, but also a story of growth and healing. The heroine and hero, and the people they care about, are touched by magic in the most delightful way, learning to recognize and act on the strengths that are already within them.

A great read!

This tale hinges on a search for an enchanted spinning wheel. The author makes great use of a sparkling cast of secondary characters, which I awlays enjoy. Don't you hate those books where the hero and heroine are the only ones you remember the next day? This isn't one of those. And the supporting cast isn't there for window dressing. They all tie into the romance and the hero's quest for the magical wheel. The writing is smooth and the romance builds believably. The paranormal element is perfect, neither taking over or fading into the background. I liked the fact that the hero, the heroine and the villain all had different ideas of what the wheel could do, and each had his or her own reasons for seeking it out. All wrapped up with a satsifying ending! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants an enjoyable evening's read.

Wonderful!!

This is a woderful book. The author mixes the supernatural and romance very well. I expecially liked that it wasn't like a "pulp fiction book." (I hate those)

Entertaining

All summer long, Kate Pedigrew dragged her brother all over New England seeking a spinning wheel that she dreamed she owned. Obsessed with finding it, she visits an antique shop in Vermont where she finds the spinning wheel of her dream. Kate and the store's owner, Ms. Wimpole-Barrett act possessed until she brings the spinning wheel to her home, a renovated church. Cole Beresford is hunting a lost spinning wheel that should never have been sold because it contains dangerous magical attributes. At a party Cole meets Kate and both are instantly attracted to one another. However, he must put aside romance until he gains the missing spinning wheel before his enemy, art thief Jeremy Davenport, finds it or the current owner gets hurt by the new artifact. THE DREAM SPINNER is a beautiful contemporary updating of Rumplestiltsin. The story line is entertaining as it grips the audience with a compulsion to read in one sitting. The lead couple seems more like twentieth century Prince Charming and Snow White as they find love almost destined by the strange essence of the spinning wheel. Gail Crease modernizes the fairy tale into a wonderful adult romance.Harriet Klausner
