Very dramatic and involving.

This well thought-out dark fantasy is a blend of ordinary mixed with extraordinary. Lady Helen has been thrown into a whole new type of existence that she is not prepared for. There is mystery and violence and even love. It was most interesting to see what decisions she make. She has a lot of challenges which will not be resolved until the final book of this series. It may have been nice to read Book 1 but this second book was good at filling us in on the history of events from Book 1. I had a hard time leaving this book to do other things. I can hardly wait to get Book 3.
