Unlike the last Shadow adventure, which had South American miscreants out to make much moolah, 'Creeping Death' has a French megalomaniac out to take over the world. Everyone will certainly agree that we can't have that, so it is up to a secret service agent and The Shadow to end his Oriental poisoning Gallic dreams of conquest. A step up from the last couple as this ends in a thrilling bombs and bullets showdown at the old crazy's cliffside redoubt, where even with someone on his side on the scene The Shadow is stretched to the limit. 3.5 out of 5
