Double the pleasure with two humorous romances

THE COWBOY NEXT DOOR by Laurie Paige. Former Hollywood stuntman, Mason Faraday settles down on his uncle's ranch. Following his divorce, Mason has sworn off women. Also a divorcee, Cybil Mathews owns the nearby "End of the Road" ranch in which males are not allowed. Her spread is a cow and calf operation using artificial insemination. She also runs a dude ranch for women going through a divorce. Cybil and Mason are neighbors who are very attracted to one another, but refuse to act on it. However, his prize bull Fletch continually forces them together as the animal refuses to read the "no men allowed" sign. MEANT FOR YOU by Patricia Knoll. In Crystal Cove, California, Caitlin Beck wants to make it as a financial consultant as well as a permanent resident. Her only problem is free thinker Jed Bishop. Caitlin knows she wants Jed, but regrets falling into his bed as she once did. She tries to avoid him, but he lives in an apartment in the same Georgian home where she resides. As he forces their close proximity, they begin to fall in love. However, he is not part of her goals. This makes it unlikely a lasting relationship will form. DUETS is a superb concept that provides readers with two novels that cost the same as one tale bound together in a book. Readers who enjoy contemporary romances in which the protagonists seem to be in constant combat will enjoy both tales that make up book 3. Each tale is fun and entertaining, similar to the 1930's screwball comedies but in a modern setting. With books like this pair, readers will demand Harlequin continue to provide double the pleasure.Harriet Klausner
