Delicious and healthy recipes

With many people trying to eat healthier, there is a need for cookbooks which use "superfood" ingredients. This book has delicious recipes which do not take very long to make. It also has a chapter about superfood drinks, which could be attractive to people who do not like to cook, or just want to have a quick snack. It is a beautiful book with many pictures, but the author could have improved the content by adding more main-dish recipes. Most customers want to eat healthy on a daily basis, and they want a variety as well. The recipes are tasty, but more options would be nice. Love it from a non-frills Cook

I just got this cookbook and I love it so far. I love cooking with fresh foods, but I wouldn't call myself an Only-organic-shopping-at-Whole-Foods-every-week kinda person. What I love about this book is the recipes seem fairly easy with not a ton of ingredients and the ingredients you can get at just about any supermarket. I also love that the recipes are realistic and appetizing, since I also have to cook for the rest of the family. For example, a split pea soup recipe that has bacon and sausage in it (in moderation). So to sum up, the Author shows that you can eat great for your health that can taste good too, and you don't have to change your lifestyle to do it! p.s. Smoothies done even make an appearance til Page 30-something. ;)

Finally, help connecting health with specific foods

I don't know why another reviewer said there were too many smoothie recipes. Perhaps she(?) didn't take time to flip past the first few pages. There are tons of other types of recipes. I love this book because it fills in the missing link for me. Tired? try eating these specific 8 foods. Have hypertension? try these. So much useful information. I also especially love it because it is PRACTICAL! The recipes aren't all lean bean types. Most have some ingredients that make them enjoyable. For example one smootie recipe has 4 superfoods in it and one with dairy fat, which is quite lovely! G. McKeith rarely does that. Even though I love her too, her recipes aren't all that practical for staying on the wagon. I give this book my top praise.

Great addition to a healthy kitchen library

This book is yet another great reference to gleen information and learn from. Easy to use.
