This is not your typical table-top book on photography. Helen instills her philosophy into every page, paragraph, and word in this book. She describes her passion for the earth, nature, and, oh yeah, her photography. This book could be filed in the "New-Age", or perhaps the "Native-American" sections of the bookstores. Although Helen is not a Native American, her philosophy invokes images of Black Elk, and Hyemeyohsts Storm. This book will make you think and appeciate the world around you, and maybe it will inspire you to live more in tune with the earth. Not only is this book filled with inspirational philosphy, the photographs are stunning. Her pictures go beyond the ordinary. She obviously feels deeply for her craft. Every picture evokes emotion, reminding me of Freeman Patterson. The book is the size of a normal paperback book, and I assume she did this so you can carry it with you when you travel. The book ends by giving advice on how to get published. So, if you enjoy nature, photography, "new-age" philosophy, or want to get published, then by all means, read this book.
