Great for fantasy writers!!!

If you're a fantasy writer, then this book is a must!! It goes into great details about the weapons used in the middle ages, which we can transfer over to our fantasy writings. It also goes into great details about armor, and not just about Knights, and castles. Don't type another word until you study this book!!!

Great reference for writers, dungeon masters or medieval weapon fans

This compendium has an enormous amount of useful information about all kinds of medieval things from exotic weapons to castles and siege engines. Really quite amazing how much you are going to get out of this. The only thing I found wanting, and it is a small thing, but a lot of the weapons (of which there are hundreds) have very small and sparse drawings so you sometimes don't get a really good look at an exotic weapon. Minor thing though - the book is very rich in resources. Glad I have it.

The Best You'll Find

If you want to know about ancient and medieval weapons, armor, and castles, you need this book. The information and illustrations cover all geographic areas and time periods. The statistics can be converted to any game system, if you so desire. The only reason I gon't give it five stars is that the structure of the book should have been further revised, and some of the illustrations are less than top-notch. I challenge you to find a single better source, however.

This book is great for anyone who wants better information about midle-age weapons armors and castles. A lot of pictures gives you details of each exotic armor or weapons. Just great.
