A must for beginners and intermediate CF users alike

Before I bought this book I had never heard of Cold Fusion (Except the Nuclear stuff in school). After using this book I had a database driven web site up in a week. If you are new to CF and do not have version 4.0, BUY IT! lots of great examples.

A Great, But DATED book This is not 3.0 !!!!!!!!!!!

I have had to make extensive use of some of the new 3.0 features. They are NOT covered here. This is the best organized & best written reference on the subject of Cold Fusion.Unfortunatley it is useless for 3.0 features, I had to use the online manual & the John Burke book to decipher them. To his credit he has not labeled the book 3.0, but he has not labeled it 2.0 either.

Great if you need to learn CF in a hurry

The bookstores are cluttered with tons of books on how to do this and that, but Cold Fusion does not enjoy this kind of selection. I was very impressed with this book - it has helped me tremendously in cleaning up an old web site. All in all very well done, one of the few reference books that I have read cover to cover.

Pages Falling Out During 1st Use

I found the content of this book to be excellent and has been a super aide for developing my first site. The problem I'm having is with the poor binding job of the book jacket which results in pages falling out immediately. I've taken two copies of the book back to the bookstore just to find they all have the same binding problem.

A must have book for CF Developers

If you are using Cold Fusion (which you should be!) you must have this book! Contains lots of great examples and tips; everything from creating the standard database apps to using the JAVA graphing applets and VRML. I find myself consulting this book often...
