The Cocky
The group of cockies which inhabit the suburbs of Sydney are really a set of teen age boys and girls growing up, just as would the humans.
Xavier, the prodigal son like, of a family from the Bogong High Plains of Victoria comes to Sydney to discover where and how his best friend Steve, is living, and to maybe expand his own horizons by joining into that life cycle.
The antics and acts of the flock mean that the team members, through their experiences, develop their characters and experience the trials and tribulations of teen age boys and girls.
Their learning curves are interactive with the adult humans of Sydney society and through those interactions they pass judgement, via their "at distance" observations, on religion, politics and all the related acts of human behaviour they observe.
Inevitably of course, Xavier sees the truth of the existence of the humans and how they themselves, as a group, reflect that same existence in their own ways.
Leading to the climax (the death of Steve ) which will turn him to think about what life is really about and where the truth of that life lay. Returning him to the Bogong High Plains to discover what life is really meant to achieve for him.
Each chapter is a story of growth and adjustment toward knowledge and understanding of life in yourself.
