Th e father (husband) loves his wife (Eph. 5:25); provides substance for his family (Lk.11:11-13), and trains the child (Pr. 22:6). Th e wife respects/submits herself unto her husband (Eph. 5:22), is industrious in household chores and receives the blessing and praises of her children and husband (Pr. 31:28). She is, also, involved in the socialization-training-of the child/children. Th e child, as enjoined by the Bible, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right..." (Eph. 5:1-3). Lastly, the children are to be brought... "Up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord", a major responsibility of the father. (Eph.5:4)

Unlike the secular orientation of most books and journal, The Christian Family is firmly anchored in biblical teachings. It can be used for family home study, both with the total family gathers or within an individual reading.
