Overrated

This book takes itself way too seriously. It's hard to describe, but a lot of it felt shallow. I feel like this book lacks humbleness and really seems like the author trying to westernize eastern spiritual concepts and patting himself on the back for it. Not good at all. The writing style and concepts are so simplified. I wouldn't recommend.

Underwhelmed

I really wanted to like this book but sadly I just didn’t. The plot drags on for way longer than it seems like it needs to & was uninteresting to me. The spiritual guidance in the book is very insightful and I learned a lot from it, but just felt like the plot surrounding all of the insights was sub par. Thankful for everything this book taught me though!

Enlightening and such a good read.

Extremely refreshing to read especially during this time! One of my favorite books, once I picked it up I couldn't put it back down!!

Adventurous and insightful, what a great book!

This is legitimately one of the best books I've ever had the pleasure of reading. It explores some deeper channels of your brain and challengesyou to consider other possibilities, all while maintaining a fun plot line. I LOVE THIS BOOK. I've purchased a minimum of ten copies to give to my friends as gifts. You will not be disappointed!

Don't waste your time

"They can't see us!" Sanchez said. "We're vibrating too highly!" Although some ideas were okay at best, which are generally understood. Such as give and you shall recieve. Or parents should not have kids unless the parent will be able to dedicate his full love and support to this child. But so much talk about high vibrations and seeing light emmiting from people. Too phony. Don't bother with this book.

Just Read SB 1 or God

I saw the other review here about SB 1 or God. But first, with all the bad reviews Celestine Prophecy does have a right to be here. That is soley because it is in fact an honest effort by a man, Redfield who is in reality an average every day guy who has a desire to better. With that desire he, from these pages has a desire to help. He offered this book as a contribution to us. Now, why is this book so popular? For that total reason, there are alot of people out there who need this type of help. More than half the people in the USA have never taken a sociology class and have never had council. But these would rather read a book to help them. So, for the higher educated AND stable who are at peace, this is not the book. Now as for the Book SB 1 or God, another person here stated it is just a prophecy book, not at all, It is also a book of Great insight and help.

This is not a book of Prophecy,is an enlightening ones story

If you want a book of Prophecy read Karl Maddox SB 1 or God If you want a mans opinion of a way to better yourself spiritually read Celestine Prophecy. The Book goes through a humble story starting in the states and a venture to south america looking for a sacred.... that has several insights that are explained by redfield. I did not like the way the book was written at all but I loved the effort redfield put into this book from pure desire and imagination to make a contribution to us in a matter of teaching us peace. Well, how many normal everyday people have tried that and gotten this far? Certainly not Rashnesh. Redfield is mainstream person but not mainstream writer as his views are quite side line. Check out Karl Maddox for a real prophecy book.

Este libro presenta conceptos que algunas personas ya manejabamos, me llegó como una reafirmación al trabajo que estamos realizando. todas las personas deben de leer este libro para entrar a la corriente evolutiva del planeta. Este libro ya se volvió un clásico en la literatura universal. EXCELENTE.

Like or dislike

On the technical side how the book is written and grammar used does occasionally leave you wondering... did I pay for this book and why? If you read through these reviews you will note one thing. People either love it or hate it. For most people you will just need to find out for yourself.I personally had the same thing. Got the book about 3 1/2 years ago, started reading it and thought... nah.. this is not me.. And left it at that...About a year later I started reading it again and finished it in a couple of days and have since read it a number of times.It is very hard to describe the type of person who will enjoy this book and I think that it is just as black and white as the people who have read it. If you are openminded and like to read about how maybe human society can develop along the views that this book tells you - it is a must read.I guess is you are dealing alot with people (i.e. sales, manage people, public service, help centres) you can learn alot in this book. It has some great things written about how people use personal energy and how it effects you as a person. And there is lot more written about this as a personal development tool.Personally I rate this book very high. Have learned alot from it and have given it to about 7 people who I know.. Some have read it and enjoyed it (who I didn't expect that they would read it) and other who I really thought... yep... didn't read it or couldn't get into it...Hard to describe... bye it.. you can always sell it at the 2nd hand shop!

Tuve conocimiento de este libro a travez de un amigo que me encontre en un avión viajando para Miami. En cuanto llegue a la librería mas proxima, lo compré y ahi comenzo mi aventura y deleite en este libro
