Who stole the medal at the pet store?

Synopsis: Jigsaw's dog Rags seems to be a very lazy dog and Jigsaw feels that Rags doesn't have any talent. Jigsaw's mother thinks Rags is a shoe thief, because shoes have been disappearing from the house. However, Jigsaw's mystery really begins when Bobby Solofsky calls him saying that `he wants to hire them (Jigsaw and Mila) as detectives to help him' which Jigsaw finds strange, because Bobby has always been claiming that he is a better detective than Jigsaw. Still, Jigsaw decides to help Bobby and investigate the case. It turns out that the new pet store "Fur, Fins and Feathers" banned Bobby from the store, because they accused him of stealing the grand prize medal for the annual talent show, even though Bobby claims that he didn't do it. Jigsaw and Mila go to the pet store to investigate. Things take a turn for the worse when more items are found missing, such as Lucy Hiller's glitter purse and later, a woman's keys. Can Jigsaw figure out who the culprit is before it is too late? The suspects could be anyone, such as: - Bobby: Did he take the medal just to prove that Jigsaw couldn't solve the case? - Danika: A girl who was in the pet store when Bobby was accused, and who was protesting the treatment of animals at the time; could she have it? - Rain: Did she take the prize just to keep it for herself? Jigsaw decides to enter Rags in the contest to get more clues to the case, but will he succeed without making a complete fool of himself, considering that Rags has no talent? Review: I thought this was a great book to read, as it kept me guessing as to who could have taken all those items from the pet store. Being a dog lover, I also enjoyed the relationship between Jigsaw and Rags. The author also adds good humor by introducing characters like "Rain", "Jax", "Curiosity" and "Rainbow". The illustrations by Jamie Smith are also very nicely drawn, especially the drawings towards the end of the book that has a majority of characters and animals at the talent show. Overall, this was a very nice, funny, entertaining and interesting story to read, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes the series.
