Great for the open minded!

I would recommend The Case Against Darwin for anyone open to the idea that The Theory of Evolution is either incomplete at best, or inadequate in its entirety. Perloff doesn't get into Bible study stuff at all and merely mentions once (at the beginning) or twice (once at the end) that the idea of a supreme being - namely something called God by most people - is just as acceptable a response to the mystery of how humans and the rest of the planet and its inhabitants got here. Its a short read - I think its something like 100 pages - tops. He wrote it because he knew that legislators and teachers dealing with the Evolution / Education stuff would not make it through Tornado in a Junkyard. Tornado in a Junkyard is his longer book that includes copious research and references and includes more of a first person story line. (rest assured, The Case Against Darwin is well sited and referenced) I'm not remotely religious and have always just accepted the public-school-taught idea of Evolution. This book got me realizing that Darwin and the Theory of Evolution in schools is much akin to the impact that Al Gore and Global Warming have had on on schools today. (Anyone truly interested in exploring that analogy would probably enjoy reading John Taylor Gotto's books or The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America - A Chronological Paper Trail by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt.) I have to say I'm impressed with Perloff's research ability so far in both Shadows of Power and The Case Against Darwin.

Short and to the point

This book is a very fast read, heavy on facts, with very little filler. The book is a shortened version of "Tornado in a Junkyard," and is a good starting point for studying the difference between the creationist and evolutionary opinions. "Tornado" is much more detailed, and includes chapters on the authors transformation from an evolution supporter to a Christian Creationist.Both books were fast reads, packed full of info. They are also heavily footnoted and referenced.

A QUICK AND INFORMATIVE READ

Call it what you will: summary, capsulation, primer, etc.,this book provides more than ample evidence unmistakablyand unambiguously invalidating Darwin's theories. Perloffclearly demonstrates that belief in evolution requires notonly rejecting all the evidence to the contrary, buteverlastingly accepting unproven hypothesis after unprovenhypothesis in perpetuity. The auther points out how Stalin,Hitler and Marx were influenced by Darwin's writings.Some fan club!

From Creationist to Evolutionist this is a must read.

Evolution is a proven science. So says the Evolutionist, but is there any hard "observed proof" of the theory. In just 76 pages of reading, this book covers some of the main arguments used to support the "Theory." I did say theory, examine the arguments presented in this book. This reading past all expectations I had.It is time to change the presentation of Evolution as fact to theory. Thank you James Perloff for an outstanding presentation of the Case Against Darwin.

A MUST for the school library

This book capsulizes the most impacting evidence against Darwin's theory of evolution. As a holder of an advanced degree in Genetics I found it suitable for the beginning student in the Sciences when confronted with a project discussing the evidence for and against the evolutionary theory. There are other sources of recent study available on Design Theory, but I believe these might be too advanced for those in elementary through middle school (grades 1-8). High school students could use this book as an introduction to the argument against evolutionary theory, especially speciation.
