The Canopy - a real blessing!

The Canopy is one of the best books I have ever read. As a Christian, it was a joy to be reminded once again that every man, even those without God, can know that HE exists because "the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." (Romans 1:20);and also that God is patient and "long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." (II Peter 3:9)Angela Hunt writes and fantastic and thrilling story, while at the same time gives interesting and factual information concerning diseases (physical and spiritual) and how medications and cures for them are found, along with sharing the love of God and the means HE uses to draw people unto Himself (the ultimate cure for sin). This would be a tremendous book to recommend to those who do not know the Lord so that they could see how those who have "seen the light", although it might mean physical death to them, it ultimately gives them eternal life!Angie's insights to the truths and promises of God are incredible. What a blessing and encouragement when she takes the time to share them with us through her writings.

Angela Hunt has once again written a thought-provoking, stimulating story with an unusual story line. You feel as though you are actually in the jungle along with the characters. An unpredictable and refreshingly unusual plotline. You have never read a story like this one. Very entertaining and with a surprise ending.

JOURNEY INTO THE JUNGLE

I enjoyed this scientists search for healing secrets in the jungle story very much--creative concept and packs a spiritual punch. It reminded me in setting and overtones of Sean Connory's movie, The Medicine Man, which I also enjoyed, but with the added dimension of the Christian worldview.

Wow!

The Canopy - wow. This book is very hard to describe as it kept twisting and turning, it is scientific, mystery, miraculous, travelogue, thought provoking, scary, a little violent (people do get killed but that's all I am saying) definitely worth the read. I rank this as one of Angela Hunt's best.

A new standard for Christian fiction

Over the years people have accused Christian fiction of being many things, including shallow, poorly written, preachy, and obvious. If that's your idea of Christian fiction, I challenge you to read The Canopy, which is none of the above. This book is well crafted, thought provoking, and unpredictable. Angela Hunt sets a new standard of excellence in Christian fiction with The Canopy.
