The Storm Brews Well

Paul Ruditis is an extremely good writer. His main weapon here was his great sense of humor. Combining small punchlines and slightly-'duh' jokes, he makes this an enjoyable read. The first book mentioning the elements at all, Paul uses a good plot to make the story move with relative pace. He controls the story well, and writes excellently. The ending is good and I am very pleased to note that he did not forget about Phoebe's contract problem. That said, however, he makes a reference to some places in San Franscisco. That is where the sisters live, after all, but the places mentioned, like the reservoir, is misleading because there is no premention of it in the earlier parts. I was thinking along the lines of the Manor being a center point and the points that form it being a nexus as the points where the Elementals must stand. Overall, a good book.

Somethings brewing...

I really enjoyed this Charmed book. It is about strange weather which is brewing around San Franciso which is leading up to a ceremony of the elementals - earth, fire, wind and water. After the firestarter is killed, Tyler a young kid is promoted to the ceremony. He ends up with the Charmed Ones and we get to see the mother come out in Piper as she tries to protect and look out for Tyler. Daryl has quite a large role in this novel right up to the end. His job is to find the missing Tyler and keep the FBI away from the Halliwells. A very face paced book with plenty of characters with spunk and attitude. The author has really gotten the sense of the TV characters and portrayed them very well. A must read in the Charmed collection.

great book

I haven't read a lot of the boks yet but i have seen almost every episode of the show and this book shows the characters and how they react to pressure. The Brewing Storm also is kind of a follow up on the episode where Tyler meets the Charmed Ones for the first time. I really like this book.

This is the best Charmed book so far

I felt that this book was really good! Not only did they bring back Tyler, they also brought in 3 new characters: Windwalker, Waterbearer and Earthshaker. The four form the Elementals. Darryl plays a huge role in this, and I thought that was good. I also enjoyed the twist at the very end-where he found out they needed the "Spirit" Elemental to complete the circle. The Charmed Ones also had something to learn, that despite having magical powers, they still could lead very normal lives, juggling their careers; and this was good in showing that they're not invincible; at the end of the day they're still humans (well, half at least). By the way, for those deluded people out there, Tempus is the time-manipulating demon, but the demon here is Tempest (which actually means 'storm'), so effectively Paul Ruditis did not make a mistake. In fact, he even emphasized that Tempus had been vanquished-go read the top of page 59. Overall, I felt that this was a fantastic book, arguably the best, and deserved the 5 stars I gave it.

Awesome book!

This book was very very well written, and I loved every part of it! I hope any Charmed fan buys this book and enjoys it as much as I did!
