It ia a major environmental, cultural and even spiritual factor on the terrain and the people within the vast area of its drainage. The Kid in the title is me. I was born and grew up under the influence of this river. All of us have our particular Einsteinian co-ordinates of place and time. Mine, here in the 'Cradle' of the Brazos River and one of the most tumultuous times in American history, gave me my early experiences and my 'world view'. This book puts the 'flesh' on the 'bones' of those old memories.
