The third in a series of Florida Keys Detective Rodriguez novels. We follow Rodriguez as he tries to solve what may be a case of murder even though the medical examiner has ruled the death as natural. His friend, Dr. John Whitacre, of Miami Arts University, has always suspected that his colleague, Ileana Cooper, had been murdered by her husband. Although a few years have passed, Whitacre has reached out to Rodriguez for help. Our Detective must work the case on his own time as his boss has denied him use of County time and resources for a closed case. We see him juggling all his other cases while trying to help a friend.
