The Blue Ball

The author is a native of Cuba and an American citizen who

came to the US at the age of seven. Throughout her life, she has

had the opportunity to wear many different hats career-wise. First,

she worked as a legal secretary for various and sundry firms in the

Miami, Florida, area for twenty-five years. This allowed her to

study, finance, and obtain all her degrees in clinical psychology,

culminating in her doctorate. She was licensed in the state of Florida

as a clinical psychologist, and retired her license in May of 2026.

She has also worked as a trust specialist and later as a social studies

teacher, teaching world history to eighth graders for twenty-two

years full-time for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, as well

as working part-time simultaneously for Children's Psychiatric

Center, which later became Institute for Child and Family Health

for approximately thirteen years. She retired from the work force

in 2022. The author has previously dabbled at writing poetry. She

now embarks on a new endeavor--namely, writing. The Blue Ball,

a book for young children, is her first book. It is her hope that all

children and their parents enjoy it.
