In the late spring of 1864, Mr. and Mrs. Mason moved away from the crowded suburbs of London with their son. Settling for a quaint little cottage at the edge of the Heartwood forest, they found a sense of peace and tranquility away from the noise and bustle of the city. One day, while walking the trails their son came to meet a girl named Rose, who lived in the middle of these murky woods with her family. However, the Mason's soon discovered that their neighbors and their unusual daughter were not as they seemed.

Something very old and sinister lurked amongst these dark and sacred groves, bedeviled creatures of ancient lore that wore a familiar face.
