High quality production of Coop's finest work collected together in over a 1000 pages. Contains regular Devil Girls, Devil Guy, numerous comic style pages and one off pages with a subtle social comment in Coop's own wry style. Cool Cars, Robots, characters and Ratfink also included.
I enjoy Coop's artwork. I don't have any Coop-inspired tattoos or examples of his work posted up around the house, but I think his style is visually stimulating (even without the sexual themes) and just plain fun. To me it screams 'cool' and takes me to a 'political correctness free' time of hot rods and pulp magazines. The Big Fat One is, like it's title states, quite a thick sketchbook. It's acually quite a bit smaller in height and width than I was expecting, but it's far thicker than I imagined. There are numerous fun sketches in there, including sketched versions of popular Coop works. I just wish there were some finished color prints included...but I understand that this is not what this book is about. Overall, I'd say it's a quality publication, just be aware that's it's all black-and-white sketches and not much else. -C.R.

Coop is simply amazing and this book really shows his talent. Its so much better then you would expect. The pages are beautiful with cover to cover illustrations drawn out on ever page front and back and the book wonderfully takes you through the changes and development in his artistic carer over the years. Accompanied with Devil's Advocate: The Art of Coop and you really get to appreciate this artist in full. Every page has a different look, theme, charactor there is so much to look at that each time you open The big fat one you see something you didn't see before. I would reccomend this book to anyone, Its got something for mature Men and Women.

It is a high quality print on each page, with many (literally a thousand or so) pages. There is the regular devil girls, devil guy, etc. but there is also numerous comic style pages and one-off pages with a subtle social comment in Coop's own way. Also look forward to cool cars drawn in an expressive way. Robots, characters and Ratfink are all in this book a lot too. In the intro Coop explains these were never meant to be printed publicly, so are an uninhibited expression of his wondering thoughts. Fans of Coop should buy this, also any budding artists especially of this style would be wise to purchase this as it gives an idea of how Coop mucks around and how they turn into the final products we all know.
