GREAT BIG book of geat stories

Not only is this in my library as memories of my own reading time as a child but also is one I choose to share with my 9 year old grandson. He enjoys the fact that he now can read these stories himself but also enjoys the bright pictures and illustrations. A GREAT book for a GREAT price and great memories in the making as well as days past.

Memories

My sister and I both learned how to read using this book. When you're first learning how to read you usually read aloud, which is a perfect fit with this as the rhymes draw you in best when read aloud.

Memories from my childhood

I remember these stories from when I was a kid. Go Dog! Go! The Best Nest Are you my Mother Now I can read them to my boys, and they are all in one book! Its a great value! And there are other stories in the book too. A Fly Went By Its Not Easy Being A Bunny Put Me in the Zoo

Excellent collection of Dr. Seuss books

My daughter is 5 years old and in kindergarten. She loves this book. The words are simple and easy to read and the repetition and rhyme help keep her attention. Having the stories in a collection makes her feel like she's reading a big kid's book, like her 8 year old brother. Together as a family, we have enjoyed reading this book numerous times. The stories include the following: * "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny * "Go, Dog, Go!" * "Are You My Mother?" * "The Best Nest" * "Put Me in the Zoo" * "A Fly Went By" I'd recommend this as a beginning reader book for kindergarten and first grade. Older kids may think they are beyond Dr. Seuss, but my son still enjoyed them last year in second grade and even now, when we read together. Younger children will appreciate the rhythm and rhymes, the colorful pictures and the silliness. I do not mind reading and re-reading the stories over and over and over. There is a hypnotic appeal to them that works on adults, too.

Good Value

I purchase a lot of books for my toddler granddaughter. This was a great buy with 6 stories in one hard covered book. Right now I'm reading it aloud to her. The repetition and rhymes are great for young readers. Warning to buyers...this is not a board book so unless your child has been taught to handle books carefully, I wouldn't give it to a young child unsupervised. I wish these stories were available on cd too.

THE BEST BEGINNER BOOK

This is far most the BEST book for kindergarterners. Has a lot of repetition and easy to read words. My 5 year old son has lots of fun reading this book. I recommend this to any beginner. It's a must!!!!!
