The Best Game: A Simple and Memorable Model for Successfully Running Any Organization

Leaders often don't understand how to motivate their team and get the best results. They're frustrated by low-performance or fuzzy results. Michael Smith's The Best Game will help any leader win. It's for organizational, business, and philanthropic leaders. The Best Game guides you through the process Smith has worked on so you can win the best game and enlist others to know the rules so they can succeed. It's more fun if you win Early in his career, Michael Smith became President of Gemini Industries. When he sold his majority equity position in Gemini to the employees, the company had $35 million in sales, 150 employees, and five physical locations. It did business in every state in the US. Michael then ventured into mentoring and growing leaders, becoming the principal of iMentorLeaders, an organization that leads leaders to significance, by example. Simultaneously, he was also the co-founder and principal of a successful startup called DecisionGrid that served 501c3, church, and small for-profit organizations providing financial stewardship tools that promote great decision-making. Currently, Michael is working on a new not-for-profit organization in Oklahoma City called The Uncommon Collectivewhich helps start and nurture businesses owned and operated by under-resourced women that offer the dignity and joy of work at a livable wage. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Education at the University of Oklahoma and has a Master of Human Relations degree, also from OU. He married his high school sweetheart, Joanna, and their family includes three terrific adult children, their spouses, and their grandchildren. Michael enjoys fly-fishing, reading, writing, bicycling, and gardening.
