Down Syndrome affects 1 in 700 babies in the United States each year. For parents, finding out that their child may be born with Down Syndrome can be a very scary thing. However, sometimes it is other children who can take our grown-up fears and simply toss them out the window. When I told my two little boys that their baby brother or sister might be born with Down Syndrome, that is exactly what they did with all my grown up, yet childish fears.
