Find your line. Tonight, with your friends, in whatever room you're in.
The Assessment is the entry volume of The Thirteen, a series built on David Kibbe's thirteen image archetypes. It's for writers giving characters a body and a wardrobe, and for anyone building a persona to step into.
Fifteen questions, in three passes (Skeleton, Flesh, and Face), lead you to a tally that names one of thirteen lines. A score sheet is bound in, and the questions come with full-color photographs and illustrations. The Thirteen Answered walks through every question in detail, so no one is left guessing.
It's made to be done together. Set up the room, follow the group protocol, and type everyone in one sitting. One copy can type a whole friend group.
Every archetype exists at every size, and none is better than another. There's one rule everyone says out loud: Nobody is allowed to say, "But I wish I were ___."
When you know your line, the lookbook for it is waiting. Each one covers how to write it, how to wear it, a chapter on scene and event personas, and a full showroom of complete looks.
This female edition uses drawings and descriptions based on female anatomy. The archetypes, questions, and tally are the same in the male edition.
