American agent Harry Latham has penetrated the fortresslike mountain hideaway of the Brotherhood of the Watch, a neo-Nazi organization that was born in the days after the fall of the Third Reich. But on the eve of his most spectacular success, after three years in deep cover, Harry disappears. Drew Latham, Special Officer for Consular Operations in Paris, is frantic to discover his older brother's fate. But when Drew receives the good news that Harry has surfaced, gut-twisting doubts arise. For Harry has emerged with an explosive document: a list of secret supporters of the Brotherhood, among them high-ranking officials of the United States and its allies. But is it legitimate? The search for the truth about Harry and the growing Nazi threat will plunge Drew into a labyrinth of deceit and death. And whoever makes it out alive will hold the fate of the free world in his hands. Praise for Robert Ludlum and The Apocalypse Watch "A powerful, exploding novel . . . vintage Ludlum in fine form." -- Booklist "If a Pulitzer Prize were awarded for escapist fiction, Robert Ludlum undoubtedly would have won it. Ten times over." -- Mobile Register "Bloody great fun." -- Kirkus Reviews
What a page-turner! I read four to six books a month to take me away from reality for a little while. Ludlum's book had me reading in my car, at the dinner table, and during tv shows. I enjoyed the plot, I enjoyed the twists, I enjoyed the characters, especially the aged Colonel Witkowski, Harry & Ms. DeVries. I had just seen the Bourne Identity movie and was anxious to check out another Ludlum story. I will definitely be reading more of his work.

An incredile novel based on historical possibilties steming from WorldWar II, and the rise and fall of Nazi Germany. Ludlum carefully weaves the past with the present painting a rather shocking future of wolrd affairs where the New World Order would be dominated by neo-Nazis and Ayran Nation followers.
A page turner despite its length

This is one of the longest books I have read but it also one of the best.Numerous plots and sub plots intricately woven together all converging toward a dazzling climax. Despite the book's lack of realism , it still does the job of thrilling its audiences. Fast moving and exciting , it's worth your time reading the 600 pages worth.
thumbs up

Page-turner book, like a Craig Furnas thriller novel. Ludlum brings his intricately woven plots together with physical action to make your heart pitter-patter from page to page.
