This is my favorite rendition of the bible. It's the one I read myself. I have bought copies of "The Answer" for friends & family members. The text is much easier to comprehend than most. It also features articles on various different everyday topics, written by contemporary writers. An excellent choice for a new christian.

Great Bible for new believers

The Answer is a great Bible for new believers and seekers. It has a really thorough topical index that gives people a guide to find answers to life's toughest questions-- but it shows people how to go back to the Bible and find the answers. I've given it to several people and they like it because they actually understand how the Bible applies to them. Also, the New Century Version is a really easy to read translation so no big words that people don't understand. I'd recommend it for bedside devotions and gifts.
