Todd and Ashley worked for a privately owned company, one that specialized in the ability to cross borders, often into countries considered...unfriendly, especially to the U.S. They did this through a wide variety of connections, millionaires, billionaires, even a couple trillionaires, anyone who existed above their country's laws, as most rich people tended to do. This also meant dealing with the other side of that spectrum...the criminals, people who existed above the law as well, much the same as the rich, and often in the same way, only without money backing them, replacing it, the money, with violence. However, in many cases, especially when dealing with criminals within the U.S., the ones truly pushing the buttons, were those within the government, the far right in most cases, all while blaming the left, often with very bloody hands.

In truth, neither Todd nor Ashley knew exactly who had sent them on this mission, as they were simply handed a mission statement then expected to be there...as it was with their line of work. However, for this mission, Ashley, perhaps feeling bored, or maybe forgotten by the ones who decided the missions, the who and when people, had volunteered herself, and Todd, for whatever the next mission was...and so it was...they were sent to Mongolia.
