Five stars plus!

This book changed the way I think about myself, my life and my potential and it could do the same for you! Cathcart writes in a clear, friendly, easy-to-understand manner and his principles are so brilliant you'll find it hard to sleep while you're going through the exercises. What a great service he has done us all by putting these thoughts on paper! It's a must-have for the serious student of personal transformation, for those "just having a rough spot" and for anyone who wonders what they really could become. Magnificent!

One of the best books on Personal Development Ever Written

Most self-help business books are a rehash of tired and familar cliches. If you're looking for some fresh insights and practical advice, I highly recommend The Acorn Principle. Jim Cathcart has written a classic. I read over 100 books annually, and I've been recommending this one ever since I first read it. It is small in size but big in ideas.

Great for Life's Transitions

Read this book when things are changing in your life. It will help you clarify what matters to you and make better choices. By working through the "Thought Breaks" you will really get to know yourself. It helps you understand others better too. Good stuff and easy to read.

Wow! I never knew so much about myself!

This book showed me parts of myself I always felt but never could explain. Now I know how to predict my reactions to people and situations and how to make better choices for who I really am. The chapter on Natural Values and the one on Personal Velocity explained why some of the people I know behave as they do. It also made me more accepting of the differences in others. Some people really are quite different from me, in how they think, feel, perceive things, etc. Not only is this book good psychology but the author's style is very encouraging and entertaining. I need to reread this book about once every year. Get one for the people you really care about. Then discuss it with them. You will know each other better.

The Inner Circle changed my life!

Chapter 12: How Your Relationships Define You - really stretched my mind. It never occured to me that the primary people in my life are "part of who I am". I now see how I tell myself and the rest of the world about myself through the people I associate with most often. The 3 essentials for a healthy relationship has given me a plan for how to enhance each of my most important relationships. I've looked at the mix of people in my inner circle, the individuals, and my connections with each of them. Now I'm "going shopping" for some new relationships to expand my life!
