A Great Book in a Great Series

When Skye Fargo stops a band of pirates from bushwhacking a cargo boat in East Texas, he's rewarded with a fortune in trouble. There are two rival logging companies fighting for the big trees - and the big profits. But Red Mike McShane and his bayou brigands are only attacking lumber deliveries on one side. Now the Trailsman has to locate a swamp snake's lair and do some clear-cutting of his own. Right from the beginning this is an action packed read. The author pitching Fargo against some impressive odds, the least of which is taking the helm of a riverboat. Setting the story in the swamps means Fargo has more than just human adversaries to face. Of course there is also the beautiful woman who could prove to be a deadly distraction but is it he or she that the stranger is trailing and attempting to kill? So there are elements of mystery to the plot also. All the threads of this story are nicely tied up by the end. Another worthy entry into the Trailsman series. Recommended.
