a good reminder

This book reminds us that as parents we can get so caught up in outside pursiuts (ours and our children's) that we give only a little time, if any, to our children and their emotional/spiritual growth, which should be one of our top concerns. The author reminds us to tend to our children first, because they are the future of society and God has given them specifically to us to raise according to His word. Souls of others can be saved when your primary task is completed, but if you fail your children in exchange for saving others, what have you truly accomplished? And what example have you set? Parents only have one chance to raise their children for a few short years, and that is a task they cannot afford to fail. This is a wonderful book.
