nice rendering of a popular nursery rhyme

I like the illustrations in this board book, made in colored crayons. What is more important, my son likes them and we often choose this book as a bedtime story (he is 17 month old). The colors are vibrant, the animals nice, and the boy in red pajamas easy to find as a center of each illustration. Hopefully he will remember the numbers, it is a good way to introduce them. The book is sturdy and he can turn the pages himself. A good book for the youngest ones!

Fun to read

My daughter loved this book - it can be read with great animation and the sing-song nature of repetitive writing is great for young ones (especially the 2-4ish age group). I plan to get it for my grandson.

I grew up with this book and look forward to my children doing the same. It's great.

A sweet nighttime story for a toddler

I started reading this book to my son when he was one and a half. He loves it when I read this book to him at bedtime. It has lush illustrations. When it says, "Roll over, roll over!" I roll over on the floor; he giggles and has a great time with it. The sounds the animals make they fall on the floor are fun to make sound effects for -- "CRASH!". And he always pays attention when the animals are all gone, and the little boy in the story is cold and alone. We've enjoyed this story dozens of times. Recommended.

A great book for sound effects

My three year old loves this book. Her dad reads it to her every night. Her favorite parts are when each animal falls out of bed and my husband says very loudly BONK, BUMP, DINK, ECT. It's a great book to read at bed time.
