This book is written for parents who are looking for story-telling guidance and inspiration, but for anyone who is interested in writing books or short stories for children it is extremely valuable and useful. It far surpasses most "how to" books and articles on writing for the juvenile market. It is a beautiful and literate book, and not only does it teach gently about writing, it almost inadvertantly offers deep wisdom about being a Good Parent. Perhaps this is even a more important aspect of this book, as it's suggestions for telling a "good" story to one's children are really suggestions on how to see, feel, and understand your children and to then connect adult wisdom and values to them in a way they can accept. This is a truly wise and valuable book.
