Tears In the Rain

Tears in the Rain is set in the fictional African state of Kangara. After the much sought after independence, the people of Kangara were disillusioned as their much expected Eldorado never came. The corruption of Power became the order of the day as politicians became gods and ruled over the people they swore to protect like slaves. The ganjos are make shift houses built by the poor masses of Kangara due to their inability to afford conducive houses. Instead of providing low cost houses for the masses, the government decides to demolish these ganjos without providing alternatives for the people. Its a straight battle between the government and the voice of the opposition. The combination of poetry and drama is a distinct attribute of this piece...and a voice is heard on the Olosunta hills...and the plains of Ugele has been deserted. .
