Teaching with Technology --> Takes Off!

This book is actually a pleasure to read since there are no pages to turn, no bookmarks needed and no way to lose your place, I totally agree with the back cover when it says, "Bundled with a fully functioning demo version of ClarisWorks 2.1 (it does everything but save). Interactive exercises are seamlessly integrated with the book allowing the student to actually work with a fully implemented application presented in the text. This book represents a breakthrough in teaching and publishing. No longer will readers only be exposed to text about what a spreadsheet or database does...with this CD-ROM product they will experience it, interactively. This introductory level "text" is the first of its kind to be published in a multi-media format rather than on paper. It is totally interactive. Readers learn by doing and participating, rather than by passive descriptions. It is truly a case of using the technology to teach the technology!"
