Tales from the Pumpkin Patch: The Storms Inside

By K.S. Wall

Tales from the Pumpkin Patch - The Storms Inside takes readers back to the beginning, before the author had control of the prison kitchen and before anyone knew what she was capable of.

At first glance, the kitchen appeared to run itself. In reality, it was controlled chaos-wandering workers, constant boundary testing, cooking disasters, hidden theft, and a daily struggle to maintain order among men who were always watching for weakness.

Through consistency, fairness, and a refusal to be manipulated, K. S. Wall transformed disorder into a functioning operation that fed an entire prison compound. Along the way, she discovered that the same patterns appear everywhere: people test limits, push boundaries, and ultimately respond to steady leadership.

Blunt, honest, and often darkly humorous, this second installment in the Tales from the Pumpkin Patch series offers a deeper look at the behavior, tension, and unexpected lessons found inside a prison kitchen.
