A passion for all of nature

This was a treasure for me to find personally. Jim Anderson is a dear friend of my parents and family. I've had the joy of sharing a glider ride with Jim who in fact inspired 3 of us in the family to get rated in "gliders" which we prefer to call "sailplanes". As a young man I had the privilege of accompanying Jim on a day of Osprey banding on Crane Prairie Reservoir in Central Oregon. I know most of the landmarks his stories describe. I've tasted the freedom of flight for hours on end with energy supplied only by nature and in fact flew in the same thermal above a Red Tailed Hawk one day, one of the masters of the Central Oregon skies Jim knows so well. I only wish I could drive to Sisters today and shake his hand to thank him for being such a great lover and teacher of natural science and storyteller of those experiences. If you like stories about men and women who are full of character co-existing with and teaching about nature I highly recommend Jim's book.
