Elizabeth Bevarly once again delivers wonderful romance!

Keaton Hamilton Danning III is getting fed up with his `wonderful' job. He'd always seen himself becoming Prime Minister in the small country he'd served as chief advisor in for years. But when the Prince gave the county their independence, he'd chosen to go with Reynaldo-and now he spent all his time fighting with the kitchen help, catering to snobs...he was bored, and ready to move on. Then he meets `Babs', a woman who claims she is a guest at one of Reynaldo's bashes. Keaton is such an aristocrat, it's hard for him to even imagine how Ruby has gotten to the point she's at, and they're from two so totally different worlds. Elizabeth Bevarly did a fabulous job of creating a fairy tale romance-the Cinderella meets her fair-haired Prince. And although Keaton isn't a Prince, compared to where Ruby comes from, he might as well be. A wonderful story, with hilarious lines starting on the first page, this book flies by in a fun romp. This is a not to be missed Contemporary Romantic comedy!

Lots of fun.

I really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh out loud in several places. The yacht setting was kind of different, and I liked it that the heroine was just your everyday sort of person. And where else are you going to find mobsters, Marcel Proust and nasty little weiner dogs in one story? Highly recommended.

Great romantic comedy!

I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon than immersed in the wacky and wonderful world of Ms. Beverly. I thought Ruby's character was especially touching because we've all been on the outside looking in just like she is. I giggled, I chortled, I howled (just like Kurt the dog) and I didn't want the book to end. Gus and Arabella were fabulous, too. Bravo to this fantastic author and thanks for bringing a few hours of sunshine into my life!

The main characters are ok. What you will really love is the story between Gus the bartender and Arabella. I found myself more involved in their story which I loved and that is why I gave this book 5 stars. It is worth the read.

amusing contemporary romance

Miami waitress Ruby Runyon feels as if a miracle has occurred when Jimmy Golden takes her out on a second date. Ruby gets a lot of first dates, but never seconds because her companions expect her to jump into their bed based on her background, but when she refuses they never return. Dreaming of becoming Mrs. Golden and escaping the trailer park, Ruby learns that Jimmy is married and has mob connections. Needing to flee her date, Ruby crashes a yacht party that leaves for the Bahamas. On the yacht is Keaton Danning, a former advisor to a King and now garbage control expert to the egotistical hedonistic exiled Prince of Pelagia. Keaton finds the stowaway charming and humorous as she spouts nonsense. As they become acquainted on the sea voyage, Ruby and Keaton fall in love. However, he is a blueblood who can trace ancestors forever while her blood contains trailer fumes making genealogists fear what is in her tree. This makes anything permanent seem impossible. TAKE ME, I'M YOURS is an amusing contemporary romance that fans of jocular tales will enjoy because of the warmth and humor of the charcaters. The key cast members sailing on the yacht feel genuine particularly the bantering between the lead duo mindful of a modern day Gable-Lombard. The support cast, notably the Prince's fiancee, provide a unique look at them. Elizabeth Bevarly provides her readers with a wonderful tale that never takes itself seriously even the romance.Harriet Klausner
