Simple book showing respect for pets

If you have pets and you have young kids, this is a great book to read with them about respecting the boundaries and limits of animals. Told simply with cute, colorful pictures, your child will understand how to treat their own furry family members. The last two pages of the board book have tips for parents and caregivers about how to use the book with your child to help them respect an animal's feelings.

Excellent Book

I bought this book for my two year old son. We have a dog, and he started getting rough with her. He LOVES this book!!!! He always goes and gets it and wants us to read it to him. He loves the page with the animal sounds, and he learned to do them all. He has not hit the dog recently, but still tries to sit on her. But overall, I think this is an excellent choice, and very cute book!

Really nice book to teach little ones about their pets. It has a great section at the end with advice for parents.

Great book for animal-lovers with kids in their lives

Wow! This book is a great, easy-to-read way to start teaching respect for animals to children. My son didn't understand that his chasing the cat or teasing the dog were not OK, and that animals have feelings, too, until we read this book together. Now the title is a slogan we use around the house to remind him to be nice to our pets. He loves the detailed illustrations - there are surprises on every page - and we love the easy language to read together. This is a great book for teaching children how to love and respect - and understand - animals better.
