Can the Narcotics Control Division save the streets from drugs' invisible threat? Kai Eto may look like a squeaky clean kid, but the Greater Kanto Narcotics Control Division's new investigator hides a violent alter ego and a dangerous past. With his stoic partner Hal Kurabayashi, Kai is assigned to track down and stop the distribution of Dragon Speed, a dangerous new drug. But Ryugen, the syndicate trafficking the drug, is almost impossible to infiltrate. Add street violence and a jurisdiction war with the Meguro Police, and poor Kai is in for some very long days at the office. Kai's been working undercover as the assistant to the famous actor Shirai, who's a suspected Dragon Speed user. But Shirai isn't the average junkie, and his fame is being used as a covert advertisement for Dragon Speed, with sickening results. Will Kai's feelings of friendship for the actor get in the way of the investigation?
I'd say volume 2 is a vast improvement than volume 1. First the story lines really starts to pick up pretty fastly and the art details get a whole lot better. It partly left me wondering if they would be able to catch and arrest the suspect. And some scenes even had me laughing at how I'd say, witless the lead character is and how it always seems to put his partner in a foul mood which I think it doesn't bother him at all. And what I just said about the lead scratch that I don't actually think that's the right word for him at all, he's more of a mystery,I think. But to put this firmly and wrap it up, I will definitely be buying the next volume(s) of Switch.
