Informative read

The subject is well-written and researched. The author being british alternates between euroentric chapters and american ones. I found the chapters during the Industrial Revolution and American 60's-80's most interesting. Fair warning she covers the ersatz foods of hungry,war-stricken countries and the Chinese fake milk scandal on the early 2000's, which are truly heart-breaking.
