I laughed my a** off

I gave this book 5 stars because I haven't had such a good laugh in a long while.I agree with the other reviewer that Serena misused her magic alot at the expense of the hapless hero Stafford. He didn't exactly put the h-e-r-o in hero himself he came off looking like a recalcitrant schoolboy most of the times.Serena was a little sex starved by she attacked poor Stafford when he finally worked up the nerve to make a move. The writer portrays as a bit of a sex kitten inflaming the lust of every Englishman who had come to take over the estate. Her magic had worked for hundreds of years by making all Staffords predecessors fall madly in love with her but he proved difficult to control so she had take drastic measures. He eventually falls in love with her and she with him but it has nothing to do with magic. The book ended a bit abruptly for me.i wanted an epilogue in which the author reveals any effects marrying him had on her magic.
