A tautly written novel

Sweet Sacrifice by Crystal Rhodes is a dynamic and attention engaging novel about Sash Adams, an unemployed law school graduate striving to raise her young brother by herself. When her brother's sudden kidnaping turns her world upside-down, she must join forces with Brandon Plaine, a deceitful and dangerous media mogul, for any hope of her sibling's safe return. A tautly written novel, Sweet Sacrifice clearly documents Crystal Rhodes as a novelist of considerable talented.

A Sweet Read

Sweet Sacrifice is a very good read, and author Crystal Rhodes has created a credible suspense story that will keep the reader involved from beginning to end. The book's romantic suspense is handled with skill by the careful control of Ms. Rhodes' narrative, as the main character's passions ignite. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. I look forward to reading more work by Ms. Rhodes

Enter handsome media mogul Brandon Plaine, who cannot fathom why complete strangers have targeted him to fork over the ransom for a boy he's never laid eyes upon. As if this isn't enough of a dilemma, things grow even more complicated when Sash and Brandon find themselves fighting an irresistible attraction to one another.With vividly appealing descriptions and realistic dialogue, Ms. Rhodes crafts an unforgettable tale of love and redemption. Sash's devotion to her brother is heartwarming, as is Brandon's gradual transformation. The action sequences were so edgy that I actually found myself holding my breath as I rapidly turned the pages to see what would happen next. The twist is unexpected and incredible, and brilliantly affirms Ms. Rhodes' storytelling talent. SWEET SACRIFICE is a novel that draws you into the story from the very first page and does not let go until the very satisfying end. I highly recommend it and am already looking forward to this author's next novel!

Sweet and Satisfing

When Brandon Plaine and Sash Adams lives crossed on that fateful day she burst into his life asking his help in what seemed to him a preposterous scheme. The CEO of Plaine Deal Media, a man accustomed to being in control and accepting very few challenges to his authority would find that the dreadlocked, unemployed, recent law school graduate would not only issue her own challenge but change his life forever.Sash's little brother Sweet has been kidnapped and Brandon is the only man that can help her get him back. Although she is willing to do just about anything to keep her baby brother safe, she will not be dominated by a man nor circumstance. Sash's character is fiery and bold, she is not impressed by Brandon's status or money, she only wants to save Sweets life. Brandon is intrigued even if a little unsettled with Sash, he finds himself believing her, and while the kidnappers changing demands seem to keep them from getting closer to Sweet, the pressure of those demands binds the two of them ever closer together.Brandon had to call on his friend Sinclar Reasoner from SIN for a little assistance, I was glad Crystal let us peak in at Nedra and Sin, that is a couple I hope she gives us more of in the future. Brandon had no idea of just how valuable Sash's determination would be for him, her, and most especially Sweet. I loved this book, it kept me guessing right through to the end... Keep on keeping on Ms Crystal. I look forward to your next project.

We Are Family

Fresh out of law school Sash is ready to take on the world as well as be a sister/mother to her five year old brother Sweet. We know the best laid plans of men and women go astray. As Sash plans crumple in front of her face, she finds she has to trust the powerful, rich, handsome, and cocky Brandon Plain.Brandon and Sash's inability to trust each other hampers their ability to work together thus causing more problems. When they stop thinking of themselves and realize other lives are involved, they see good results on the horizon. As in life another monkey wrench is thrown in the mix. The pain for Brandon and Sash is over bearing. There were sections in the book where I found myself saying oh no, or damn; my facial expressions went through some heavy changes as I read Sweet Sacrifice.Ms Rhodes has done a stupendous job of keeping you on the edge of your seat, waiting to see if the characters can become a family.Reviewed by Toni Bonita, APOOO BookClub
