petrol. Her parents, John and Sally, ran a motorcycle

competitive motorbike racer, introduced both Susie
and her older brother David to bikes, skis, and the
outdoors long before most children learn to balance on
a bicycle.

around on small bikes, she grew up with a comfort for
risk and motion. By the time she watched her first
Formula 3 race at just thirteen, the idea of racing
