Non-stop action, couldn't put it down!

From the very first, this book is non-stop action, written with sincere respect for each and every character. It's got everything -- plots and subplots, heroes (civilian and military), true villains and not-so-bad villains, and an amazing lack of gratuitous violence and profanity. I can't wait for the rest of the series!

full of suprises

AJ Tata has written a fast paced, extremely relevant book about the war in Iraq and the fight against Islamic terrorism, but even more than that has brought a thought provoking, timely book that questions our leaders and Washington. In a time where our country is very politically divided and unscrupulous politicians are being uncovered all of the time this book takes you right into the action on the battlefield and the story of two brave, high ranking military brothers, Matt and Zachary Garrett, their fight against the elusive enemy and the political machinations that bring them to China, the Phillipines and an old Navy base near Manila. While the brothers are not stationed together they find themselves fighting the same fight and discovering very questionable practices by the military and power brokers in DC. This is the type of book that we all hope is purely fictional but we fear that it may not be. It is a compelling, thriller of bravery, patriotism and treachery.

Sudden Threat is a Page Turner for sure

Wow. What a super ride. Move over Tom Clancy, the new kid on the block has written a hot new book that is a page turner that will keep you reading all nite long. It has more action,twists, turns, and sit on the edge of your seat thrills than your favorite action, suspense movie ever thought of having. It starts with "The one time my country asks for a head on a platter" Matt Garrett said to himself as.....and it only gets better from that point on. From Pakistan, to China,to Japan, and to Manila, the action heats up as Matt (CIA) and his Brother Zack(army not CIA) fight the bad guys...Then throw in the fact that the "Rolling Stones"from inside the beltway in Washington D.C. are secretly creating most of the problems 1/2 a world a way, in their quest for fame, greed and glory. This book gives you a senario of what is happening today in the real world. Scary, isn't it. Tata gives you heroes that are on the cutting edge but have compassion and honor of those with" boots on the ground" that are doing battle not only with the foreign baddies but also fighting with the master manipulation of Beltway bigwigs in D.C. A lot of action, thrills, & conspiracy will definately make this book one you don't want to put down till you have finished it. Move over oldtimers(Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Brad Metzler, James Rollins) the new kid on the block is coming up fast and this book is fantastic..
