This collection of essays written by St. Louis high school students presents the full spectrum of concerns associated with growing up: joy, fear, pride, jealousy, anger, loneliness, happiness, inspiration. You name it, these kids are feeling it. And they're not the kind of kids who were shooed into expensive writing tutors to pump out polished college entrance essays to get into Harvard or Yale. These are the students of College Bound, an organization devoted to helping promising but under-supported high schoolers as they prepare for college entrance.
