Story Line: Lucio S nchez, an alcoholic piano professor, decides one day to give up alcohol to marry one of his students, Beatriz Jim nez, a widow. At the same time, Raquel Amberson, another of his students, single and about to marry the landowner Mart n Pivotti, decides to poison Lucio with arsenic because she cannot bear taking orders from anyone. While the professor, poisoned by Raquel, is dying near the house of his beloved Beatriz, prevented from declaring his love for her, Raquel, on the other hand, celebrates her recent marriage at a party and plans to poison Mart n during their honeymoon. Lucio, lies on the ground seriously ill, but discovers true love in his life through memories of his loved ones. Later, Lucio is rescued by Beatriz and marries her. On the other hand, Raquel is caught, imprisoned for trying to assassinate Mart n and ends up committing suicide in jail.
